The walk

The path goes down the Val Ferret through Praz-de-Fort and Issert, between meadows, mazots and old granaries, before a wooded climb to Champex-Lac. Little ascent, lots of charm.

Champex and its lake are a good place to recover before the more mountainous second half of the tour. Postal buses run in the valley if needed.
